(That’s a nerd joke. I have it in my head that it’s a fitting way to start off a new blog, but it’s probably just cliché by now.)

I really like Tumblr. The interface is simple and intuitive, the design is smooth and restrained, and the copy is succinct and genuine. I also like the usage of (giant) Georgia inside the login fields. I’m a huge sucker for that. Good job.

I’ve been reading Tumblrs for a long time now. I track some via rss—a few through Google Reader, and a whole bunch in a tab on my tricked-out Google homepage. I’m looking forward to officially Following all of them, but I’m not going to do so until I’ve got some more stuff posted here. (I’m hoping their authors realize how awesome I am and reciprocate the follow, doye.)
