An Experiment!

Executive Summary: Writing comes somewhat naturally to me and a few people have liked the musings posted here. I am interested in writing for new audiences.

I’m looking for a writing assignment. Pay isn’t important, but I’d appreciate a bit of exposure. I can wax philosophic or spew reductive, profanity-laced tirades. I have prior work demonstrating both ends of the spectrum, if you’d like examples.

I am appealing to my Tumblr audience because some of my most-reblogged posts involved a helping of pseudo-intellectual babble from yours truly. (Yes, the causal relationship is tenuous at best, but let’s ignore that for now.) Additionally, I couldn’t help but notice that a number of my followers enjoy fairly well-connected positions in online media.

Areas of expertise include

• being a heterosexual male (i.e. boners, unrequited love)
• being a total fucking nerd
• surviving painfully awkward adolescence
• drinking in social situations to mask the above
• being paid by the state of California to run a de facto co-ed frat whose output was a periodical full of dick and fart jokes
• dick and fart jokes
• design & new media art
• cycling (fixies are the new skateboards; ask me why)
• other things you’ve likely gathered from reading this tumblog (e.g. photographs of boobs)
• and so much more!
